“I subscribe because I feel really good about feeding my family organic, locally grown produce. Even though we live
near the "strawberry capital of the world" (Watsonville) it's nearly impossible to find certified organic strawberries. (And
strawberries are definitely on my list of crops to avoid because they contain higher levels of pesticides.)
The supermarkets carry some organic produce, but it's difficult to feel good about eating organic when it's shipped from
Central or South America at great expense and use of non-renewable energy resources--like petroleum to fuel the
ships, trucks, etc. And despite living near so many farms, I would have to drive 1/2 hour to buy organic or local
produce at a farmers' market, which are typically located in more populated areas.
CSA produce is so good and so fresh, it often doesn't make it home, although we live only 1 mile from the delivery
point. I hand the strawberries or blueberries or carrots to my kids and they (the produce, not my kids) disappear

This is my second year with Herbert Family Organic Farm/ Eating with the Seasons LLC and I really love the quality and
variety of food offered each week. I like supporting small organic farms in my state as well. It's easy to order online
each week, and I like taking a short break on Tuesdays to pick up my produce. My whole family likes the freshness and
taste of organic products whether they be wonderful juicy strawberries, fresh lettuce, avacados, organic free trade
coffee or kohrabi. Plus, the prices are very very reasonable and you can't find organic produce this cheap in
